15-year-old Murra fights with her mother and no goal in mind. Her chance: a week’s trip with two counselors and three other teenagers. During wild camping and small excursions, the four so-called “at-risk kids” are supposed to capture moments in nature and with each other using old analog cameras. But it’s not easy, because Murra and the three others don’t feel like spending time together at first and don’t want to do without their cell phones. So there’s a lot of arguing before they get together and learn to rely on each other. Soon Murra has to ask himself: What is my story, what do I want to tell? For SWEET AS, director Jub Clerc drew on her own experiences. (RW)

Jub Clerc is a graduate of the three-year acting course at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She worked for many years for various theater and musical productions before participating in numerous short films, documentaries and television series.
