With the intercultural film club “Blickwechsel Jetzt”, the DFF, in cooperation with the Aktive Schule Frankfurt, has developed a program for encounters between refugees and Frankfurt youths aged 14 to 20 since spring 2015. One evening a month, the focus is on an exchange of ideas between the young people while watching and experiencing classic films anywhere from the silent era to modern action films.
This regularity was abruptly interrupted by the pandemic. After almost a year of “life without cinema”, the film club is now meeting again for a new start at LUCAS. These young people will present THE LAST PICTURE SHOW by Peter Bogdanovich to the festival audience.
