LUCAS-Streaming – Watch short films online

The final curtain has fal­len on the 46th LUCAS Film Festival, and the juries have award­ed their pri­zes. However, school clas­ses, children’s and youth groups can still stream the competition’s short films until Christmas.

Due to their short run­ning time, form and mul­ti-laye­red the­mes, short films offer enorm­ous poten­ti­al for immer­sing young peo­p­le in film edu­ca­ti­on in the class­room and pro­vi­ding food for thought for deal­ing with social issues. This year, LUCAS will once again make the short film com­pe­ti­ti­on ent­ries available to school clas­ses, children’s as well as youth groups on the DFF Kino+ strea­ming plat­form bey­ond the fes­ti­val peri­od. The five short film pro­grams are sui­ta­ble for dif­fe­rent age groups and will be available until December 23, 2023, so that tea­chers can fle­xi­bly and indi­vi­du­al­ly incor­po­ra­te them into their curriculum.

The short film offer can be boo­ked via the LUCAS web­site until December 10. On DFF Kino+, all short films of the pro­gram can be view­ed in the cura­ted order or each short film indi­vi­du­al­ly. After regis­tra­ti­on, the tea­cher of the class or the super­vi­sor to the group will recei­ve a code that pro­vi­des access to the content.

Prices depend on the num­ber of peo­p­le in the group/class:
10,00 € for groups up to ten persons
15,00 € for groups up to 29 persons
20,00 € for groups from 30 persons

All non-German lan­guage films have eit­her German or English sub­tit­les. Films with an age recom­men­da­ti­on up to and inclu­ding 13 years have a sel­ec­ta­ble and desel­ec­ta­ble German lan­guage voice-overs.
